CEO Report

As many of you will now be aware, I have resigned from the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Goldfields Esperance GP Network to take effect from the 25 September 2009.

My wife Jan and I are relocating to Melbourne where Jan will be taking up a new senior position with the Department of Human Services and I will confront the struggle and challenges of retirement.

The past four and a quarter years has been a wonderful journey and provided me with friendships experiences and challenges that have been incredibly rewarding. I have been very fortunate to have had a most supportive Board of Directors lead by Dr Rachel Hammond, Dr Mal Hodsdon and Dr Andrew Siegmund over the time I have been with the Network. The staff have been tireless in their efforts to provide the highest standards of service to our Members and the community and meet the challenges of high turnover with the wonderful willingness to pitch in and help each other. Lastly, our Members of the Network who have been so accepting of what the Network is endeavouring to achieve and their support of me as the CEO.

I am delighted that Helen Robinson, one of our existing staff has been appointed to the position of CEO and I have no doubt that she will continue and further develop the GEGPN and its services to the Members  and the community.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to Board, Staff, Members and others who have made our stay in Kalgoorlie so worthwhile. I trust the coming days will keep you all safe and be all that you wish it to be.

Warmest Regards

Terry Keating - Chief Executive Officer
