


Lurrtjurringa Lan Program (Remote Area)
Lurrtjurringa Lan ProgramThis program assists Laverton and surrounding communities to access and promote health care services. The local Aboriginal Health Worker holds weekly clinics at the Wongatha Wongannarra Corporation and the Mount Morgan Prison. The AHW also identifies local and transient ATSI community members requiring Disability review. The Lurrtjurringa Lan Project (joining together) Program in Laverton, aims to work with and support people of the Laverton region to improve the overall health outcomes for Aboriginal people and promote access and inclusion for people with disabilities. Gp Network identified Laverton as a community of Indigenous people with a range health issues. The Lurrtjurringa Lan Project has been operational since August 2006. It’s approach for the delivery of health services are as outlined. What Lurrtjurringa Lan do:
Lurrtjurringa Lan will continue to aim and provide an effective service to meet CALD Community to access the delivery of health services.
