Nicotine 'Butt Outt' Program

The Goldfields Esperance GP Network (GEGPN) Butt Outt Nicotine Addiction Program is a 12 week intensive program designed to assist clients with nicotine addiction. This program incorporates face-to-face and over the phone sessions on why nicotine is addictive, nicotinic receptors, effects on the respiratory and cardiovascular systems and assists clients with smoking cessation treatments which. Spirometry and Carbon Monoxide levels are obtained to assist in the motivation and direction for clients. Results and client progress are provided to the referring GPs. People are referred into the program via Allied Health Professionals, General Practitioner and self-referrals.
 
GP and Allied Health Professional referrals are continuing to be received via the electronic referral form. This has allowed for a more efficient service delivery of the Butt Outt program. If further information is required regarding the referral process then please contact Butt Outt staff.
